The planning of the conference School of Diversity is well on its way. BLUS is very happy to have gotten some positive attention from people who are interested in the topic of the conference.

We are proud to announce that we have two very qualified speakers coming from the US.

  • Elizabeth Wilson-Anstey will join us for a few days of the conference. Elizabeth Wilson-Anstey is Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at the Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. She has over three decades of experience of working with student affairs. Elizabeth will tell us about the development of student affairs in USA and about running a student affairs office.
  • John-Paul Sanchez works to address the sociopolitical needs of LGBTQ individuals living in the United States. He sits on the Steering Committee of the Group of Diversity and Inclusion of the Association of American Medical Colleges. John-Paul has practical experience with developing projects to address LGBTQ needs in higher education. He will stay with us for a few days of the conference and will assist us with our group work.
  • DIS – Danish Institute for Study Abroad is an exchange school for American undergraduate students in Copenhagen. The school has a long tradition of working to support diversity. Anders Larsen, Cultural Immersion Coordinator and Heather Wallerson Krog, Project Manager will tell us about DIS and what they do to support diversity.

So BLUS is very excited about the conference. We have stitched together a program containing a mix of informal and formal learning, lots of group work, discussions and off course also some great social activities.

We would like for all participants of the conference and others who are interested in the theme of the conference to be able to educate themselves on diversity. Therefore we have created a page for articles and links. If you have a text you think is relevant for the conference we would like to add it to our page.
